In fact, making a New Year’s resolution is a time-honored tradition around the world. The idea that this new year will be better than last and that life can improve in general by changing a small habit holds fast, especially considering that over 60% of New Year’s resolutions fail. Business Insider says that one of the biggest reasons people flounder when it comes to keeping their New Year’s resolutions is because they’re not specific enough. Not in 2020! Drink 8 oz (2 liters) of water a day. Water flushes toxins from your organs, carries nutrients to your cells, helps you digest, and yeah, we basically need water for every single bodily function. Staying hydrated in 2020 by drinking the daily recommended amount has many benefits, including helping prevent hangovers ;)

Volunteer once a month. Volunteering not only helps the planet, animals or those less fortunate than you, it can also help you, the volunteer, make new friends, learn new skills, and feel happier and healthier as a whole. By designating a time like once a month, as opposed to just saying “volunteer more,” this makes volunteering a measurable act and therefore, a resolution that should be easy to keep!

Actually take your lunch break. Working for long stretches without breaks inevitably leads to stress and exhaustion.
