The patented filters by PHILTER offer a five-step filtration process that includes proprietary materials meant to reduce odors, absorb and dissolve particulates and/or chemicals commonly found in secondhand vape or smoke and ultimately reduce emissions.

Silicone is a non-toxic polymer mostly made from silica (sand). It can withstand heating and freezing without leaching or off-gassing hazardous chemicals. It is also odor and stain-resistant, hypoallergenic, and because of its smooth surface, very easy to clean. For these reasons, and also because the soft silicone rubber does not break, it is the perfect material for eco-friendly and non-toxic products.

Depending on what type of oil or substrate you are inhaling, you might rarely see a fine mist from the bottom of the filter. Rest assured, your smoke or vapor has been filtered and all you’re seeing is nothing more than the remaining bit of filtered, clean air.

Make sure you have a firm lip lock around the mouthpiece of our device. This creates a secure seal to ensure no smoke leaks out the circumference of the mouthpiece and concentrates the smoke into the PHILTER.

In that same respect, make sure you are properly exhaling. Think of our PHILTER as an empty balloon. In order to fill a balloon, you need a firm airflow to fill the cavity and expand the balloon. Same goes with our PHILTER, just give a firm but relaxed blow into the device to maximize the efficiency of its inner workings. If you exhale too softly it will not enter the chamber of the device and possibly leak. If you are too aggressive, it will travel through the device too quickly and some smoke will emit out the bottom. So, experiment with the different types of exhales and find a happy medium to ensure a quality experience.
